"Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these
Terms,
do not use the Service.
2. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER (CRITICAL)
THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. The contents of the Service, such as
workout plans, nutrition logs, AI-generated advice, and other material are for informational purposes
only. The Content is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or
treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any
questions
you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in
seeking it because of something you have read on GritFit.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services
immediately. Reliance on any information provided by GritFit, its employees, or the AI features is
solely
at your own risk.
3. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) DISCLAIMER
The Service utilizes artificial intelligence (specifically Google Gemini models) to generate workout
plans, nutrition suggestions, grocery lists, and "Life Coach" feedback. By using these features, you
acknowledge and agree that:
- Accuracy: AI systems are experimental and known to hallucinate
or
generate incorrect, unsafe, or biased information. You must verify all AI-generated advice (e.g.,
checking ingredient quantities, verifying exercise safety) before acting on it.
- No Professional Review: AI outputs are generated automatically
and
are not reviewed by human personal trainers, dietitians, or medical professionals prior to being
presented to you.
- Safety: You are responsible for ensuring that any AI-suggested
exercise matches your physical capability and available equipment.
4. ACCOUNTS AND REGISTRATION
To use most features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate,
current, and complete information during the registration process (including height, weight, and health
metrics) and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your
password and for all activities that occur under your account.
5. USER CONTENT AND CONDUCT
The Service allows you to post content, including "Progress Photos," comments in "Circles," and social
feed updates. You retain ownership of your content, but you grant GritFit a license to use, store, and
display your content in connection with the Service. You agree not to post content that:
- Is sexually explicit, violent, or promotes illegal acts.
- Harasses, bullies, or intimidates other users.
- Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
6. THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS
The Service integrates with third-party providers such as Strava and Google Fit. By connecting these
services, you authorize us to access and display data from these platforms. We are not responsible for
the
accuracy or availability of data provided by third parties.
7. TRAINER AND COMPANY ACCOUNTS
If you use the Service as a "Trainer" or "Company":
- You represent that you hold the necessary certifications and insurance to provide fitness
instruction.
- You acknowledge that GritFit is a platform for connection and management, and GritFit is not liable
for disputes between you and your clients.
8. PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Certain features (such as Trainer Programs or Premium Subscriptions) may require payment. All payments
are processed through third-party payment processors (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store).
Cancellation and refund policies are subject to the terms of the respective app store.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRITFIT SHALL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS
OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER
INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE
SERVICE;
(B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR
ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our mobile application (the
"App").

you voluntarily give us during registration, such as your name, email address, and birthdate.
- Health and Fitness Data: To provide our core services, we
collect
physical data including height, weight, body measurements, health metrics (e.g., Blood Pressure,
Glucose,
Resting Heart Rate, VO2 Max), sleep data, and workout/nutrition logs.
- Media: We collect images you upload, such as "Progress Photos"
or
photos of food for AI analysis.
- Device Data: We may request access to your device's camera (for
scanning food/logs) and microphone (for voice commands to the Life Coach).
- Third-Party Data: If you connect Strava or Google Fit, we
collect
data such as activity type, duration, distance, and calories burned.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate personalized workout and meal plans using AI.
- Track your progress toward fitness goals.
- Facilitate social features like "Circles" and "Leaderboards."
- Connect you with personal trainers (if you opt-in to Trainer Mode or Matching).
- Improve the accuracy of our AI models.
4. AI DATA PROCESSING
We use third-party AI services (specifically Google Gemini via Firebase Functions) to process your
data.
- How it works: When you request a workout or meal plan, or
analyze
a food photo, the relevant data (e.g., your goals, available equipment, food image) is sent to the AI
provider to generate a response.
- Privacy: We do not use your personal contact information
(email/phone) as input for the AI training models. However, anonymized fitness data may be processed
to
generate results.
5. SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION
- With Trainers: If you connect with a Trainer on the App, they
will
have access to your workout logs, nutrition logs, and health metrics to provide coaching.
- With Friends/Circles: If you join a Circle or add Friends, they
may
see your workout activity and leaderboard status depending on your privacy settings.
- Service Providers: We may share information with third parties
that perform services for us, such as cloud hosting (Firebase) and AI processing (Google).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required
to
do so by law.
6. DATA SECURITY
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal
information.
This includes utilizing Firebase Authentication and secure database rules. However, no electronic
transmission
over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
